Overview of the Fellowship Program


There are seven subspecialty anesthesia fellowship programs at Toronto General:

Although each of the fellowships has specialized clinical and research foci the method of selection, governance and evaluation process for each of the fellowships is the same. Although there is a coordinator of the fellowship program the seven fellowship programs are overseen by five committees that meet regularly to review applications, discuss evaluations and research projects of the fellows and plan the didactic curriculum.


Requirements


Applicants MUST have:

  • Royal College certification or equivalent;
  • Three letters of recommendation and demonstrated experience or a aptitude for research;
  • Applicants that are from countries in which the language of instruction is not English must have successfully completed one of the following examinations:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 
    • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) 
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 
    • The Certificate of Proficiency in English (COPE) 
    • UofT School of Continuing Studies Academic Preparation Course
