The Dr. John Bradley Award for Excellence in Teaching

The Dr. John Bradley Award of Excellence is intended for faculty with a long history of commitment and dedication to teaching. Teaching can be at any level undergraduate, postgraduate or continuing medical education.  An individual can win this award only once every five years.

Nomination Criteria may include any or all of the following:

1. Excellent teaching record over many years

2. Excellence in clinical teaching, lectures, seminars and CME over many years

3. Demonstrates interest in mentoring students and residents

4. Excellent role model

5. Excellence in education administration

6. Excellence in education research

7. Innovation in education

8. Dedication to faculty development

9. Development of new education programs

 

Nominations: Each nomination letter must be signed by a faculty member and accompanied by a minimum of THREE letters of support from either faculty, students, residents or fellows.

Accompanied Documentation: Nominations should be accompanied by the candidate's CV, Teaching Dossier, and Evaluations. As well, evidence of innovation in education can be included.
