Neuroanesthesia and Trauma Fellowship
St. Michael's Hospital
St. Michael's Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Centre serving downtown Toronto and central Ontario. Approximately 500 acute trauma victims are admitted annually. Research in the department is centred upon traumatic brain injury models. The fellowship program includes:
- exposure to neuroanesthesia,
- anesthesia for the acute trauma victim
- and a rotation in the Neuro-trauma Intensive Care Unit. This is a fourteen bed closed intensive care unit managed by the Department of Anesthesia.
Opportunity exists for involvement in ongoing research projects.
