SEA is a non-profit educational organization for anesthesiologists who strive to enhance their abilities and scholarly endeavors in the field of education. SEA also has on online journal, The Journal of Education in Perioperative Medicine.
SEA(UK) , the UK equivalent of SEA is a non-profit educational organisation with charitable status for anaesthesia educators who want to improve their skills in anaesthesia education.
Medical education at U of T, Faculty of Medicine:
Centre for Faculty Development, located now in the Li Ka Shing Healthcare Education Centre next to St. Michael’s Hospital in downtown Toronto coordinate many programs and activities. Their mission is to support educators and their organizations through faculty development to promote excellence in teaching, research, education scholarship and leadership with the goal of improving health outcomes.
The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development not only accredits CE programs, but also support Course Directors with the research, design, development and measurement of their courses and programs.
